In Saranac Lake, in the early 1990’s, I studied from the best modern day guides and wilderness educators in the Adirondacks. I have worked as a seasonal forest ranger, a biological technician, and as a government sawyer.
I have over 30 years of experience navigating, fishing, and exploring the inland lakes of Upstate New York. I have been a New York State licensed guide and a United States Coast Guard Masters Licensed Captain since 2003.
A combination of experience, education, preparation, proper planning, and hard work is the recipe I use to provide safe, enjoyable and successful trips for my guests.
I take great pride in being a licensed guide in New York State and helping others to enjoy and understand Upstate New York’s remarkable natural beauty.
Teaching beginners how to fish is the most satisfying aspect of professional guiding. Making new friends with people from all over the world who share my fascination with the outdoors is the most rewarding part of professional guiding.
